Richard & Christina have been married for 23 years. They have 2 sons Caleb 13 and Caden 7. Both of them went through bone marrow transplants at the age of 1 due to a rare childhood disease called Hemophagocitic Lymphohistiocitosis or HLH for short which is basically an overactive immune system that left untreated would destroy both good and bad cells in the body.
Through these processes, They spent about 4 years in & out of hospital and saw many sick and hurting children and bewildered depressed parents dealing with their own sicknesses and diseases. This spurred an idea that was placed in their hearts...give a bear to a child in the hospital so that we could brighten that child’s day while at the same time share our story with the parents to provide hope and encouragement.
Thanksgiving day 2013 was their first bear delivery on the oncology floor while Caden was in the middle of getting his transplant and between May and August of 2014 they formed Compassionate Hearts for Kids, Inc. and started The Caden Project. Chistina & Richard have delivered over 4000 bears to date to over 20 hospitals in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and California. They have written an illustrated children’s book about The Caden Project to encourage young children to help others in need. Future plans are to start Caleb’s Helping Hands to provide much needed medical equipment to special needs children and their families. They thank God daily for the blessing he has given us through our tragedy by helping others by providing hope and love.

Ernie Stuckey is our guest today and he wants to talk to you about your anger. Some of us are taught to be angry, some of us are just wired angry. Two of the biggest horrors of anger are that we are often angry because we're reflecting what we watched growing up and we're creating a roadmap of anger for our kids to follow. Let's end that cycle.
